Monticello, Sept 14 – Charles A. Tevis, 72, died at 4:30 a.m. today at his home six miles southwest of here.  He was born in Greencastle in 1869 and was married to Mary Harlacher. He had been a resident of White County since he was 19 years of age.  Surviving are the wife; a daughter, Mrs. Ruth Hunter, Indianapolis; a son, Ralph at home; a sister, Mrs. Thomas Spencer, Oak Forest, Ill; two brothers , William Tevis, Idaville and Marion, Monticello. The body was taken to the Prevo & Son Funeral Home, where friends may call after noon Monday. Services will be held from the funeral home at 2 p.m. Tuesday; Rev. MA Madsen officiating; burial in Riverview cemetery.  - kbz
